Scenic Japan from the Water

A scenic area overlooking Fuji, a famous comforting spot in Tokaido where you can gaze at the Suruga Bay and the Izu Peninsula.

Miho-no-Matsubara was registered as a part of Mt. Fuji's world heritage site in June of 2013. There are over thirty-thousand pine trees growing on the Miho-no-Matsubara's 7km beach.

Toro Ruins is a designated national historic site.

The first temple to visit (the Ichiban-Fudajo) in the “Shima-Shikoku” pilgrimage.  

Orange orchards can be found in various locations at Gogoshima island. 

The “Funa-Odori” is performed on the first Saturday of October. 

Mt. Kofuji (Little Fuji). At an altitude of 282 meters, it has been selected as one of the hundred best island mountains in Japan. Climbing the mountain will take around 40 minutes. 

The Mitsuhama Fireworks Festival can be seen from Koibito mountain pass. The fireworks display is held on the first Sunday of August every year.
