A medium-sized car ferry for Shodoshima island with approximate travel time of three hours, connecting Port of Kobe (Chuo-ku, Kobe-city, Hyogo prefecture), Sakate Port (Shodoshima-cho, Shodo-county, Kagawa prefecture) as well as Takamatsu East Port (Asahi-cho, Takamatsu-city, Kagawa prefecture). This middle-distance regular line also travels to Takamatsu in about four hours.

Kobe Sannomiya Ferry Terminal is very conveniently located and is 1.5km from one the main stations of Kobe (Sannomiya station).
Jumbo ferry operates four times a day where you can enjoy various sceneries of Seto Inland Sea that changes depending on the sailing time, the morning sunlight, the sunset, and the nightscape. ・Meriken Park/ 7-minute ride by car from Kobe Sannomiya Ferry Terminal. 16 minutes on foot/ A waterfront area with spots to draw your attention starting with Kobe Port Tower, the landmark of Kobe, and some other symbolic constructions. The neighboring large commercial complex is Harborland where you will find shops, restaurants, movie theaters, amusement spaces and many more.

・Nankinmachi/5-minute ride by car from Kobe Sannomiya Ferry Terminal. 15 minutes on foot/ NANKINMACHI is one of the biggest three China towns in Japan with over a hundred stores where you can enjoy eating around sweets and dim sum.

▪Sakate Port(Shodoshima)
・Angel Road/ 33-minute ride by car from the Sakate Port/ Angel road is a sandbar that appears twice a day in the sea at low tide. This is a romantic spot for couples and is believed that if you walk this sandbar hand in hand with a person you love, an angel will descend in the middle of the sandbar and grant your wish. This is known as the Sacred Places for Lovers.

・Kankakei Gorge/ 22-minute ride by car from Sakate Port/ Considered as one of three most beautiful gorges in Japan, and the representative picturesque place of Setonaikai National Park. The spectacular views of the gorges in Japan created over two million years can be seen. The ropeway will take you to a breathtaking view of the strange-shaped rocks created by the erosion of wind and rain, and it goes through the large rock face rising straight upward. Enjoy the different colors of the season, the season of fresh green in spring, dark green in summer, red leaves of autumn and snowscape in winter.

▪Takamatsu Port
・Ritsurin Garden/ 15-minute ride by car from Takamatsu East Port/ Ritsurin Garden, the special picturesque scenery of Japan, is a must place to visit in Takamatsu-city. Ritsurin Garden is a Japanese garden created in Edo period. Received three stars on Michelin Green Guide Japan.

・Kotohira-gu Shrine/ 55-minute ride by car from Takamatsu East port/ It is known as Konpirasan of Sanuki, the God of sea, from the ancient times. Many souvenir shops and Udon restaurants are lined up on both sides of the path up to the daimon gate. Enjoy the prologue of 785 steps up to the main shrine. The place is filled with many highlights including shrine and other architectures, work of art, history and culture.

<By walk> 20-minute walk from JR Sannomiya station, Hankyu Sannomiya station, and Hanshin Sannomiya station.

<By car> 0.5 km or about 5 minutes from Kyobashi IC of Hanshin Expressway Route 3 Kobe line.

<By car> At Hanshin Expressway Route 5 Wangan line Sumiyoshi Hama, transfer to Harbor Highway, get off at Shinko ramp and it is 0.8km or about 6 minutes.

▪Sakate Port(Shodoshima)
<By bus> Get off the Olive bus at Sakate Port Terminal and it is a minute walk.

▪Takamatsu Port
<By train> Get on a bus at JR Takamatsu station and Takamatsu station bus terminal #8, and get off at Jumbo Ferry Takamatsu Noriba. A minute walk (free).

<By car> When you reach Takamatsu Expressway Central IC, take the prefectural road Route 43, and it is 5.5km or about 17 minutes.
