A regular ferry line connecting Osaka (Port of Osaka (South), Suminoe Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) and Beppu (Beppu International Tourism Port, Beppu City, Oita Prefecture) in 12 hours.
We promise an elegant cruise through the Seto Inland Sea, spotted with numerous islands and often reffered to as the "Mediterranean of Japan" with our large car ferry boasting a capacity of 710 passengers and 100 cars.
To prepare for the overnight cruise, the ferry is made to be a "Moving Ocean Hotel", equipped with both private and shared cabins, an oceanview restaurant, an oceanview bath, shops, game rooms and facilities for pets.
The line promises a wonderful experience and not to bore passengers during an otherwise long journey.
The cruise is not only a luxurious way to spend a long journey, but also is an useful alternative to flights and land transports.
A route opened by our predecessing company, Osaka Shosen, to develop tourism in Beppu in 1912, the Osaka-Beppu route boasts more than a century of history, and is the oldest regular passenger route in Japan.
