A regular line to a remote island connecting Niigata Port (Niigata-shi, Niigata-ken) and Ryotsu Port on Sado Island (Sado-shi, Niigata-ken) by car ferry in 2 hours and 30 minutes, and by jetfoil in 65 minutes. [Features] Two large car ferries are in operation and accommodate 1,500-1,705 passengers, and 168-290 passenger vehicles. Also a jetfoil accommodates 250 passengers. The large car ferry offers a comfortable journey and have private rooms, observation lounge, store, food court, game room, kids playroom, nursing room, smoking room, pet space, Wi-Fi, and rolling and pitching prevention device on board (observation lounge and kids playroom are only available on Car Ferry Tokiwamaru). The Jet Foil travels in a high-speed at 80km/h by elevating its body from the sea surface. The computer automated control device which is also used for airplanes allows the passengers to enjoy a comfortable ride without pitching and rolling even in the rough sea.
