A regularly operated car ferry connecting Esashi Port (Esashi Town, Hiyama Subprefecture, Hokkaido) to Okushiri Port of Okushiri Island (Okushiri, Okushiri District, Hokkaido) in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

[Features]
The car ferry has a capacity to carry 460 passengers and 48 vehicles and is equipped with a stabilizer system to reduce swaying. The ferry provides a kids space, a pet room and a lady's room; has WiFi; and is barrier free, ensuring a comfortable voyage for everyone. From the end of May to the end of July, dolphins may be spotted swimming and jumping alongside the ferry.

▪Okushiri Island
・Okushiri Island: An island in the Sea of Japan, 61 km northwest of Esashi Town of Hiyama Subprefecture, which is located in southwestern Hokkaido.
The island is formed around Mt. Kamui, gradually sloping away from its peak standing at 584m. Over 80% of the island is covered in lush greens.
All along the western coast of the island are strangely shaped rocks and cliffs formed over a long period of time, and the vibrant and transparent blue of the ocean is nicknamed "Okushiri Blue". Also offering superb seafood including sea urchin, abalone, and oyster, Okushiri Island is a destination both for its scenery and dining.

・Outdoor Activities: Enjoy both mountain and ocean activities including hiking, standup paddleboarding, windsurfing, sea kayaking, swimming, fishing, camping, abalone hunting, and hot springs.

・Four foot paths are available for exploring the magnificent views of the island. The most recommended is the "art and hot spring wellness course", which gives passes through the area where the Okushiri Blue is the most beautiful.

・Standup paddleboarding: Take in the beautiful Okushiri Blue waters with a visibility of 25m while paddleboarding.

・Nabetsuru Rock: 3 minute drive from Okushiri Port / the symbol of Okushiri Island. Its name is taken from its unique shape (a pot handle).

・Kyujimayama Outlook: 20 minute drive from Okushiri Port / Visitors can enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view including mainland Hokkaido.

・Miyatsubentengu: 7 minute drive from Okushiri Port / The shrine is dedicated to the goddess Benten and is a place to wish for good fortune in fishing.
It is located on top of a high and steep slope.

・Okushiri Winery: 43 minute drive from Okushiri Port / Wine made from mineral-rich grapes grown on the Island.

・Abalone hunting experience (Late April to October): 20 minute drive from Okushiri Port / Take a ride on a fishing boat to an abalone farm. You can pick your own abalone and also enjoy it.
